Hydrating serums are the foundation of my core skincare regime. I truly believe that if your skin is properly hydrated, half the battle is already won. Today I’m going to share with you one of my favourite hydrating serums (which I’ve already bought backups of) and that is the Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum. Before we begin, let’s take a look at its ingredients as below.

Ingredients

Aqua, * Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, *Sodium Hyaluronate, *Cucumis sativus fruit extract, Butylene Glycol, *Tocopheryl Acetate, *Glycerin, *Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, *Caprylyl Glycol. *Plant Derived.

How does the Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum fare?

According to their official website, Pestle & Mortar claims that this product hydrates and soothes even the most sensitive skin while smoothing fine lines and restoring youthful elasticity. The smooth concentrate targets fine lines, dullness and dehydration restoring a healthy glow, plumpness and radiance. Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum is a lightweight fragrance free formula which soaks into your skin in a matter of seconds leaving it velvety soft. So how does this fare? In a nutshell, this product does exactly what it claims to do. Allow me to explain more.

A smooth runny serum that absorbs within seconds without any feeling of tackiness

Hydrating serums are incredibly common in the market nowadays. Practically every skincare brand, from the drugstore brands to the high end departmental store brands, will have some form of hydrating serum in their product lineup. However sometimes, the simplest things are the hardest to do right. I’ve tried a multitude of hydrating serums in the market and some are not hydrating enough, some leave a feeling of tackiness on skin after it dries, some have fragrances that are too strong or the worst, broke me out. The Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum is on a whole different level! This product has a simple uncomplicated formula that is also cosmetically elegant. It absorbs into my skin within seconds without any feeling of tackiness. It also plays exceptionally well with my other products and allows other serums to layer over it without ever balling up. After it absorbs, all that is left is soft hydrated skin that also feels slightly lifted from the skin cells plumping up from all that moisture! I can see this product becoming a permanent member of my arsenal of skincare products and will continue to use it as long as they make it.

Where can you find it?

The Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum can be bought from their official website. It retails at 43 or £36 (30ml sized).
