Review – The Chemistry Brand’s Hand Chemistry
Hi guys! Today I’ll like to introduce one of the best hand creams that I’ve ever used to you – The Chemistry Brand’s Hand Chemistry. My hands are chronically dry and sometimes I’ll even experience peeling skin all over my palms so hand creams are sort of a necessity to me. I’ve used many many different types of hand creams, from the cheap drugstore types to the expensive department store brand types, so trust me when I say I know my hand creams. Over the years, I do have a few favourite brands which I’ll purchase over and over again. This product is now a new favourite of mine! Before we begin, let’s check out its ingredients, shall we?
Aqua (Water), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Propanediol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Plukenetia Volubilis Seed Oil, Copper Lysinate/Prolinate, Plantago Lanceolata Leaf Extract, Methylglucoside Phosphate, Proline, Alanine, Serine, Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract, Tremella Fuciformis Sporocarp Extract, Tocopherol, Betaine, Cellulose, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Polyacrylate, Sodium Phosphate, Sodium Hydroxide, Potassium Sorbate, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Parfum (Fragrance), Limonene, Linalool.
How does The Chemistry Brand’s Hand Chemistry fare?
I need to use a hand cream each time after I wash my hands as my hands are so dry that it gets really uncomfortable if I don’t do that. My most important criteria for hand creams is that it cannot be too oily. Some hand creams are quite rich but impractical to use in the daytime while I’m working as I’ll leave greasy marks all over my laptop when I type. Therefore my hand creams are divided into day and night use, with the daytime ones less moisturising but not so oily and the night time ones more nourishing. While browsing Deciem’s website, I came across The Chemistry Brand and took a chance on their Hand Chemistry.
A rich smooth cream that sinks in without any greasiness
The Hand Chemistry cream is a rich smooth cream that claims to target 8 signs of hand ageing simultaneously. The extraordinary 19.5% active complex concentration improves the looks of firmness, elasticity, density, evenness, brightness, texture, smoothness and hydration. While using this hand cream, I discovered that you only need a small amount as it spreads very easily and sinks in fast. It then sort of forms a barrier that will survive a few sessions of hand washing. I can’t claim that I see any sort of anti-ageing effects on my hands yet. I’m just glad that it moisturises my hand well and I do see softer hands that are no longer as dry. The only con of this product, and also the reason why I recommend that you only use a small amount each time, is that I discovered that if you pile on the hand cream, it will form flakes that roll off your hands. However, if you only use a small amount, it doesn’t happen and that small amount will also be sufficiently hydrating for my hands.
Where can you find it?
I bought The Chemistry Brand’s Hand Chemistry from ASOS online. It retails at £19.00.
