Whamisa is a Korean skincare brand that specialises in organic skincare that utilities fermented ingredients. Their products are not tested on animals and many of their products are also vegan and vegetarian friendly. The most remarkable thing to note about their skincare is that they are based on a water-less method whereby they used ingredients such as aloe leaf extract (instead of water), providing extra hydrating benefits to the skin. The product which I’m going to talk about today is their star product – Whamisa’s Organic Flowers Deep Rich Essence Toner!

How does the Whamisa Organic Flowers Deep Rich Essence Toner fare?
The Whamisa Organic Flowers Deep Rich Essence Toner is a facial toner infused with organic botanical extracts for a quick boost of hydration and nourishment. It is formulated with Aloe Vera extract, Chrysanthemum extract, Oat Kernel, as well as fermented Dandelion and Argan Oil to improve skin texture and leave skin dewy and deeply hydrated. It has a slightly viscous bouncy texture that takes a slightly longer time to be absorbed into the skin. However, rest assured that there is no sticky feeling left on your skin after the product is absorbed.
I usually use the product in the hydrating toner step in my skincare routine like so:
Double Cleanse => Acid Toner => Whamisa Organic Flowers Deep Rich Essence Toner => Serum(s) => Moisturiser mixed with facial oil
Sometimes I would use the ‘3 skin method’ while using this whereby I would pat this product in 3 thin layers in succession before I continue with my other serums. I know that the ‘7 skin method’ is in vogue now (whereby you’ll pat the product in 7 thin layers in succession) but since I also apply other serums and a moisturiser after this step, the ‘3 skin method’ is the most ideal for me.
The first thing I noticed when I used this product is its delicate floral scent that makes you feel luxurious and relaxed while using it. The second thing I noticed is just how hydrated, soft and glowy my skin looks after I’ve used it. This product also helps to calm down my skin after my acid toner and prepares it perfectly for receiving the nutrients in my serum step. I’ve also discovered that this product seems to prolong the hydrating effects of my hydrating serums. In fact, my skin no longer feels dehydrated and oily in my T-zone area in the mid-afternoon mark (around 4pm to 5pm).
I’ve been really enjoying using this essence toner for the past 3 months and just to slow down and savour my me-time in my skincare routine. I’m still trying to work through my stash of hydrating essences and this is definitely going in my list of to-be-repurchased products!
